Trap music is in Poland – familiarize

Poland is a country of contrasts. It is a hybrid of glory of postsoviet and patriotic melancholy, a country that returns to the Catholic culture while closing with the selective fascination of Western tendencies. Trap Music has suddenly one of the country’s maximum popular genres. As a hip-hop branch that is strongly aligned with the cultivation of American street rap, why did the genre resonate so strongly with young Poles?

The 90s saw many disorders in society after the fall of communism. It is a catalyst to awaken the first hip-hop movements in the country, which gave the rappers the strength of bringing their street rhymes to the public. Quick advance of almost 30 years and a new wave of young artists uses choice trap sounds to capture raw aspects of Polish identity.

The Polish trap is popularized throughout the YouTube country, Soundcloud and, in recent years, on the radio. While some artists concentrate on the direct recreation of the sound of the American trap, some absolutely claim gender and encourage through dark Slavic aesthetics. With the latter, think of the Estonian rapper Tommy Cash as a postsoviet demonstration but composed everything; The end of the Polish Music Niche is visually naked, original effortlessly. The exclusive sound of Polish language provides rappers through gender, acts exploited through the United States to street preachers, the ability to create advertising functions: an unexpected touch for customer music. From automatic and nostalgic letters to extravagant and positive melodies, these artists constitute the eclectic nature of Polish trap music.

Taco (Filip Szcześniak) is in fact the maximum political trap artist. Despite its status, it moves away from advertising before social and classical media. Taco began to win apartment in 2014 thanks to the exits that listened to life criticized in Warsaw when she was a young adult. Its launch to date has a tendency to look as an audio drama, in which it creates naturalistic, atmospheric and visual stories. Taco focuses on the many failures of society, as well as in its own imperfections and passions. The rapper’s music gives listeners the opportunity to immerse themselves in a global where everything feels, he tells us, as “cigarettes and cauliflower. ” This is where the long summer days give a break through a melancholic sensation that can only be calmed through drinking through the Vistula River.

PRO8L3M is a hip-hop duo that, despite national fame, remains enigmatic. With a more classic and competitive rap form (interpreted through Oskar Tuszyński), the sound of PRO8L3M maintains the disturbing and synthesized effects of trap music thanks to creative production through Piotr “Steez” Szulc. The couple reflects on hedonism where drugs, money, tracksuit, women and vodka are the only virtues of life. The aesthetic and musical clips of the duo take out the raw, violent and terrifying rhythms that echo the difficult photographs of understanding the party to which they refer so strongly.

Quebonafide (Kuba recordowski) is the most extravagant Polish trap artist. Its sound takes position as a cross between the children of Lil Uzi Green and suicide. Quebo has realized that thanks to his “Egzotyka” task in which he has recorded music in many positions around the world. The rapper jumps to melodies and dark words in the trauma that happen more full of life and bright melodies that you can enjoy a party at home. His collaborative assignment with Taco Heingway, Taconafide, was a good fortune in 2018. The collaborative albums of the couple “Soma 0. 5 mg” and “Soma 0. 25 mg” criticized a generation that feeds on attention, narcissism and stimuli. In another part of the album, artists reflect and read about non -public demons.

Hewra is a rap collective that is a component of a more underground trap movement that covers the culture of Polish Street in Niche. The collective tends to use hypnotic rhythms and a more raw way to spit bars, which makes its aesthetics “of the block” very authentic.  

Miłosz Stępień, known as the Osochodzi scene, is a young rapper who highlights the lighter aspect of the trap. His shameless taste of rap murmur and his catchy choirs, combined with rhythms full of life and warm samples, make very long songs.

Bedoes (Borys Przythroughlski) is more in contradiction with many other acts discussed here, but it would not be more likely to exclude it from this list; His music is loved, a little ironically, through adolescents. His first albums were complete of melodious and self -regulated choirs, but more recently, he went to a steel that reminds Tekashi 6ix9ine or Ghostemane.
