They say that luck favors those who are prepared, so when you have the opportunity to have your first interview, better be prepared! But where do you start?

In my experience as a former recruiter and hiring manager, preparing for your first interview is pretty undeniable because you almost take a stand with a recruiter and regularly ask the same standardized questions. Once you are told how to read between the lines and master those questions, moving on to the next circular will be a breeze.

Watch this video to find out what those 3 questions are and how to solve them.

What seems like an existential query is that the recruiter needs to know if their reports and skills fit the position. The common mistake here is to describe step-by-step all of your resume reports, which you already have!

Instead of taking inventory of your experience by simply reading your CV, I recommend that you use this 3-step formula: hook attractive main points conclusion. First, do a general overview of who you are and why you enjoy this type of work. Below, upload some main points about your successful achievements and projects, not to mention the metrics! And finally, conclude by sharing your interest in the position.

It is vital that the recruiter knows your true interest in the company and/or the position you are applying for. The last thing he needs is to find someone who doesn’t take his job seriously and ends up becoming a liability to the company.

Make sure you have done your studies on the company, its founders, its project and vision, its products and perhaps some news about it. Being truly interested doesn’t necessarily mean knowing every corner, but giving an answer that shows you know the company is a smart sign that you’ll bring value to the team.

This question simply means that the recruiter wants to know if you have the right skills for the job. To answer this well, be sure to study the job description and pinpoint the specific skills that are required. Align the necessary skills to your previous experiences and it’ll surely give the impression that you will be the right person for the role.

Study and prepare for those 3 questions to advance to the next round!
