Adele was not easy with an Australian television reporter, who showed up for an interview without having done the required prep work.

The British superstar had agreed to record an interview with Matt Doran, a journalist from the informal channel Channel 7, for what he intended to be an Australian exclusive.

Doran, co-host of Weekend Sunrise, traveled from Sydney to London with two colleagues, as part of a rights package that would have charged the broadcaster 1 million Australian dollars ($720,000).

Doran surprised the interview, as he admitted to the singer that he had not listened to the full LP. This is an oversight that would have led Sony Music to bury the photographs so as never to see the light of day.

Speaking to The Australian newspaper, Doran said he was “totally unaware” he had won an email link to a preview of the album. “It’s an oversight, but not a planned snub,” she said. “This is the most important email I’ve ever missed. “

As his fellow journalists chimed in on his social accounts, Doran told local media that he had been officially suspended from Sunrise, following reports suggesting he had been sidelined for two weeks.
