Anyone familiar with the world of Lost Spirits, the only distillery excursion that started in Los Angeles and expanded to Las Vegas last year, knows that creators Bryan Davis and Joanne Haruta do anything small. Each Lost Spirits expansion is a dinner for the senses.

Their new dining experience, 20,000 leagues under the sea, is a real feast, with a 16-course meal lasting more than two hours. Like the Fish or Flesh food that opened in Los Angeles in 2020, this new menu is an original concept from Chef Taylor Persh, who took as its center the adventurous spirit of Lost Spirits and more.

Guests are led to a sumptuous and charming waiting room via a submarine that encourages them to wait to be escorted to the dining room. Meanwhile, they are served a refreshing pineapple drink without Piña Colada pin.

Diners, who can reserve seats at the team dinner from two to 12 (as well as part of an organization of strangers or a part with an individual part of 12 – the exconsistent part, which also includes the full tour of the distillery, costs $ 240 consistent with the same sound), enter the dining room where the meal will begin, which is divided into 4 parts, like a play.

The first act, dubbed “An Underwater Forest,” begins with rum-infused macaroni cookies. The Los Angeles location also started with brandy-based cookies.

There is an overlap between the two places. But just as the Las Vegas venue has a much larger scale than its predecessor, Los Angeles, the new place to eat is like the director’s montage, going from the original nine to the original 16 courtyards. And as with anything that’s a component of the Lost Spirits experience, the attention to detail is as precise as a Steph Curry jump.

What makes Lost Spirits paintings so good is that each and every new element, and there have been many since I first wrote a review of the Las Vegas location last June, are intended, above all, to satisfy what Davis would like to see as a participant.

Thus, macaroni is served in a display case, while caviar roe that comes in a moment is delivered in a Fabergé egg that is opened to reveal the caviar roe. The presentation takes a place in the evening, the octopus served in an authentic small sword with pig’s head in the dark with wonderful pomp.

Among the most outstanding options are the potato inflated with blueberries, as well as the herb butter and snail with brandy and the scallop with grated black truffle and hazelnut butter, which are part of Act 2, “The Devilfish”. Act 3, “Some Days Ashore” is, as the call suggests, more terrestrial, with pork head and quail with nutmeg and fried fish sauce on the menu, and ends with a Mai Tai fruit soda served in a giant bird. Act 4, “The Coral Realm”, Uni Creme Brûlée with black truffle and box served with 3 layers of exotic chocolates.

As mentioned, the $240 dinner value also includes the entire tour, which has become much more acclimatized to the Las Vegas experience. The excursion has evolved to come with avant-garde artists ranging from magicians and comedians to famous burlesque acts. In addition, Lost Spirits has just added a jazz room that will offer live music. Fans can enter for a few moments or, if they enjoy the music, relax a bit.

While the tour was originally more of a classic guided hike, it has an adventure experience of its own choosing. And from new foods to burlesque shows, the uniqueness of the unheard of experience grows with each visit.
