From Australia to Thailand to the United States, the Dutch Swing College Band has a long history of good functionality around the world. Founded in 1945 in the Netherlands, the total won awards over the decades. The call of the Swing University Band Dutch Swing has its origins in the early years of the band. Since Jazz Music was banned at the time, the founding members sought to keep jazz music alive in the Netherlands. They practiced secretly, illegally radio, and sought to identify a school for jazz music: the swing university. Members gave lectures, organized jazz meetings, and taught jazz music. In 1960, the band dared to take the next step by bringing their music to people, and they have done so. I’ve been acting professionally ever since.

With their concert at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt, the Berlandais Swing College Band will celebrate a double anniversary, 80 years since the group’s base and its tenth exhibition at the Audi Forum. At the same time, the total will launch the annual Audi forum jazz series for the third time in a row.
