Ashnikko: “I in poor health of tension for years, but now I know that my paintings are intrinsically cheerful”

Ashnikko’s new bold single “ Itty Bitty ” is immersed in nature, consequences of a break: disorderly nights, whores and shameless self -expression. We sat down with singer Rapper for this week in conversation.

There are songs that say so, then there is “Itty Bitty”, Moment’s main album in Ashnikko. “I carry my hands to the back of the club / I and my friend has just damaged,” the singer raised his shoulders with rubber rhythms. When we met in the London of his public relations representatives, Ashnikko tells NME that he wrote in his “Itty Bitty, a small small and horny skirt” because he feels “powerful. “

“” Itty Bitty “refers to the mysterious, nebulous and exciting area that comes after a break,” adds the north Carolina interpreter based in London, who separated from her friend in 2024. “It is the erotic option of what can take place one night with his friends, which I locate very, very exciting, especially while we move in summer and florists.

Ashnikko, who identifies as Genderqueer and Pansexual, and uses her and her pronouns, has been a brilliantly frank composer. Your coupling music weaves hip-hop, hyperpop, punk, nu-metal and trap in a wild tap that attracts all your attention. In 2019, he has gone viral on Tiktok with “stupid”, an alternative blow that introduced into poor health burns a “buth hole”: “I’m going to ghost without explanation of why / a stupid child thinks that I want it. ”

The following year, Typhoon of Typhoon with “Daisy”, a strange trap written in the point of view of a rapist vigilant domain. “Being a female dog is my fold, what did you think?” Ashnikko Crach. Then, in 2023, he unleashed “Weedkiller”, a first fierce and desirable album in which he welcomed the listeners in his “post -opocalyptic dystopian world”, and landed in the number of NME.

But now, Ashnikko tells us to abandon the writing of songs in the superior concept in favor of a more “autobiographical” approach. In person, the artist born Ashton Nicole Casey is reflected more than her provocative level character can recommend, such as many musicians, she includes crowds that her richest artistic production.   In a perceptual interview in the conversation, he talks about supporting Billie Eilish on the tour, kissing his lack of “palate” the male listeners and locating the inherent joy at work.

How is your new music announced at that time? Obviously, “Itty Bitty” is the first song and there is still a path to go. But how does this “Weedkiller” appear to you?

“I think that much of my music in the hereafter was very, very, I felt that I was entered in this character, this character of the scene. And now I think that the completely evolved frontal lobe, I am a kind of level personality. So music itself reflects: it feels much more autobiographical. This music, therefore, reads more diarime.

“You can read more as verbal exchanges with friends. You know when women go for dinner and we are talking about the maximum graph and the atrocious shit of all time. Like the other night, I went out with my daughters and we were just talking about anal for an hour, but having dinner at the lovely food. [Music] is a type of verbal exchange with women. “

Have you returned to your young people as inspiration?

“I mean, I have the impression that my music is greatly encouraged through the very hard women I grew up listening. Because for me at that time, those women were so blatantly and represented a safe sexual liberation and autonomy that I did not know where I grew up. And they are great icons for me in my life. Minaj, Björk and [Lady] Gaga.

I have the impression that when you are younger, pop stars can almost look like superheroes.

“Oh my God, absolutely. I already said it, but I began to listen to any male musician before being at the end of my adolescence.

We are with you in London today, but for an intelligent component of February and March, he was on excursion in Australia with Billie Eilish. How did this delight in?

“I love Australia. We spend the maximum productive time of all time, I am just uploading waterfalls and walks and intelligent food dinners and gambling.

Why can they be a nightmare?

“For me, it is only [about] a lack of rumble, you know, it’s not your scene, it’s not your fandom. I have the TOC, so I like to have everything. But it was great, I enjoyed it. “

At this point, how do you see your purpose as a musician? Have you replaced a lot for nine years that you have music?

“I mean, I take it much less seriously now. I think that above all I do, each and each of the interviews I do, each and every time I do, each and each one and every song I did, I felt like a creation or a break.

I am locating what everything means to me. Because sometimes, as I aged, my non -public ethics opposes my career. As, being in the audience of the public is not super general or intelligent for you. So, for me, it is a location of a certain area to feel capable of doing [do] this work, and yes, I think it is a cheerful network and create a network. “

How did you get to a point where the launch or filming did not feel like making or break?

“To be fair, it did not start starting me. It is I who put things and that I am torn aside through the demons and the little Gremlins on the Internet. But I learned that we have this obsession with the Rams that delight us. ” It is not that I need to get it too, but I tell myself: “It’s not just for me, so it’s going. “

Do they apply negativity because it assigns some confidence?

“Once you avoid the game for the masculine look, they take it as a non -public attack, for example, how do you dare to eliminate your damn fucking? As, I know that I am a bit of a creature. I am a bit strange online and in my life and on the stage, and I think that I have got rid of a component of my fucking and Myarray . . . What is the word, palatibility?”

Perhaps when taking a flight this palatability of other people, it has it higher for others: other people must reach.

“Exactly. I have the impression that it is vital to live the total diversity of human grotescence. I like to be a small ugly creature, and I also have a small sexy diva. And, yes, there is a total spectrum between the two that I would like to live and play with [in] my genre. The fullness of the human will is something that I am for. “

Finally, what are your goals for 2025?

“I need to build an incredible live exhibition: become theatrical.
