Alleged music con artist Dene Broadbelt, also known as Luke Hemmings, has resurfaced and has been officially charged with fraud.
Broadbelt, who is now 30, was arrested after Queensland police executed a search warrant at his Whitefox recruiting office in Southport, Radioinfo reports.
According to the company’s bio, Whitefox Recruitment will be “the number one recruitment firm on the Gold Coast. “
A Queensland police spokesperson told Radioinfo of Broadbelt’s arrest: “Following an investigation, police charged a 30-year-old man with three offences of fraud similar to the fraudulent handing over of assets of at least $100,000. “
Broadbelt is due to appear in Southport Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 8 August.
The alleged scammer is going through many names, adding Luke Hemmings, Harrison O’Connor, Dene Mussillon (spelled Mussillon and Musillon through other sources) and Dene Morgan.

Broadbelt last made The Music headlines in March 2015, when, in a bizarre turn of events, she denied faking her own death.
In a press release issued nationwide on March 17, 2015 through one Jason Blackford, he claimed that Broadbelt had “died suddenly” on Saturday, March 14 from self-inflicted motives and that funeral arrangements were being made “as soon as possible. “
He continues to provide a number supposedly to contact Broadbelt’s mother, but advises against calling her unless it’s an emergency, and even quotes a passage from his alleged suicide note.
In an interview with the Bay Post/Moruya Examiner, Broadbelt went on record saying he was not dead. In that same interview, he revealed that he had replaced his call with Harrison O’Connor, as he was known in the past through a former alias related to several allegations of fraudulent behavior.
Broadbelt said it replaced its call on the recommendation of its lawyer and had to file for bankruptcy after the failure of its plans, which included a music festival and signing activities.

Broadbelt has denied his reputation as a widely reported scammer, saying his scenario, which The Music widely reported in 2014, is just a case of debts getting out of control.
