Preston joined Community Impact in May 2024 as an intern covering the DFW metro. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and is expected to graduate in May 2026. Prior to CI, Preston held various positions at Mav Media, including host, camera operator and field manager. He is also a videographer and photojournalist at The Shorthorn Media. While at UT Austin, he served as virtual marketing manager at Phi Chi Theta.
